Drawn from the expressions and styles of many seasons, we bring a beautiful variety of praise to our God who made us from dust, who directs us in the saving way of Jesus, and whose desire is hearts filled with faith, hope and love.

Our Sunday service at 10:00 a.m. features elements of reformed worship that is Christ-centered, friendly, and provides an inviting atmosphere where people of all backgrounds and faith experiences can gather to worship God. The message preached each Sunday is inspiring to the human heart, relevant and soul-filling.
At Southminster we appreciate all art forms including classic forms of music performed on a variety of instruments, or sung by a choir, contemporary music from recent artists, as well as through other creative art forms relevant to our life today. We strive to provide an environment that allows the worshipper to grow spiritually and develop a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. We welcome all people to come and experience it!
Live Chat Instructions
How to set up Live Chat if you have a google account: Click on a livestream link for worship, this takes you to YouTube. Sign into your google account in the upper right corner of the page. If you have not chatted before, then you need to look at the bottom of the chat box on the right side of the page for “create a channel to join the chat” button. Click that and put in your first and last name and you are ready to chat.
If you need to set up a google account first: Check out their step-by-step guide here to create your account and prepare you for setting up Live Chat. You don’t need to setup a Gmail account to have a Google account, you can use any kind of email account!
Communion
“I am the bread of life.”
At Southminster we practice an open communion inviting all to the table to taste and see that the Lord is good. This sacrament is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month by passing the elements down the pews or by inviting worshippers to come up and take the bread and dip it in the cup by the ancient practice of intinction.
The Lord’s Supper is the sign and seal of eating and drinking in communion with the crucified and risen Lord. In this act, we remember that during his earthly ministry, Jesus shared meals with his followers and sat at dinner tables as a sign of acceptance of the sinner and the outcast.
The Unity Choir
Fellowship, sharing, studying and singing are all part of the choir’s time together. The Unity Choir meets to rehearse music for worship services, depending on the music needed for Sunday worship. The choir rehearses weekly on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, except during the summer. Anyone interested is free to join them.

Central Road & Praise Singers
Our contemporary band, Central Road, has been providing music in worship for over 20 years. Their commitment is to offer current, contemporary music that encourages active worship within the worship service and supports the Word of God. The band is made up of volunteers who have a passion for music and a desire to use their gifts of music to serve our worshiping community.
Our Praise Teams are made up of dedicated volunteers who have a desire to lead worship through singing. Anyone who has a love of singing and a desire to serve God by singing on a praise team is welcome to join. Our Children’s and Youth Praise Team teaches kids how to worship and praise God through song.
